Mindfulness, rooted in ancient contemplative traditions such as Buddhist meditation, embodies a state of clear, stable, and non-judgmental awareness. While it forms the heart of Buddhist meditation, in recent decades, modern science has embraced mindfulness for its proven efficacy in bringing calm and clarity to the pressures of everyday life.
Our mind has a habit of rushing. We tend to leave the present moment, hurrying towards the future, sometimes towards the past. However, in order for us to create a joyful and liberated future, we need to learn how to take care of the present moment and how to appreciate the well-being that is already there.
Therefore, we engage in a practice of mindfulness. Through this practice, we discover how to come back to the present moment. Walking Meditation is a great and beautiful way to do it. How often are you present while walking somewhere? When we walk mindfully, every step brings us to the here and now. We are walking, but we’re already there where we need to be. There is no need to rush.
WHAT THOSE WHO WALKED WITH US SAY

Last Saturday I joined Rijk and Katya for a silent walk in Krumme Lanke. It was my first experience in the combination of meditation and walking and I was pleasantly surprised. Rijk and Katya showed me that you don't need to be sitting in a quiet place to meditate or practice mindfulness, and that you can experience and practice it everywhere. What better place than in a beautiful forest? Thanks Rijk and Katya
Yana
It was something I needed: to set everything aside and just spend some calm moments with myself. The beautiful surroundings and gentle navigation from Katya and Rijk helps a lot. It was very resourceful, thank you, guys! Definitely be back as soon as I’m in Berlin again. Cheers

Let's Just Walk is an excellent start to becoming friends with walking meditation. It helps with anxiety and also fills with good vibes!

Before this, I have only done sitting meditation so it was very interesting to try a different approach: walking. Instructions were helpful and the location quiet and relaxing, a beautiful forest. I would like to do it again someday!
